For our final project in Emerging Technologies we had to do a family background research project and find out family details and our family tree. Over the past few weeks we gathered information and asked questions about our family to older family members and put them in presentations  to make the information clear and presentable. This project was fun and interesting because i really got to dig deep into my family's past and figure out my relatives and their blood lines.

This project was pretty awful actually i don't have enough patience to pull this off and i cant keep still taking pictures for a long amount of time. But hey its better than algebra or science so im not complaining..well at least not that much. Also one huge difficulty i ran into  was that my camera on my phone is broken making it more difficult for me to take pictures ands transport them easily. Definitely something i don't want to do again

Stop motion animation is a cartoon type of animation but instead of using computers to create the images, artists will create models out of clay. How they get it to look like they are moving is by thousands and thousands of takes and each take the move them slightly to complete the wanted movement.

My storyboard is about my favorite class and activity to do; chambers, i'm going to show a day in that class. Im going to be the main character in this story. Im going to take pictures in chronological order, so it really shows what i do each day. I like my topic because i get to show what i love to do most and my favorite class.

I don't know very much about photography or how to edit pictures. I do enjoy photography because its a way to capture a good moment and have that memory really last forever. I've always wanted to do a  photography class but i just don't have room in my schedule, so im excited to get to learn more about it in this class now.

My weekend was a fun one. On friday i went to the game with my best friend who goes to west that i dragged along with me. Chambers got to sing the national anthem for the game so that was a fun experience. After the game some friends slept over at my house and we had a good time! On saturday i worked at Jersey Boyz all day than at night my bestfriends and i went to the Plaza to get dinner then slept over at my house after. On sunday i worked all day and did a lot of homework so sunday was pretty boring. But overall i had a pretty fun weekend!

I feel like sending that email was a good way to get more information on her paper and asking more questions that even i was wanted to know! You do make some good points about how we need to respect the rules and environment we live in at blue valley. In the article she mentions something about how some teachers make snide comments towards girls bodies and I've been a witness to that. I'm not going to throw out any names because i feel like that might come across as disrespectful to my teachers, but it has happens. I do believe girls should follow our dress code but teachers cannot blame girls for their bodies. Hopefully this situation get resolved soon.

I feel like we need to learn more life skills in school, like how to buy a house or balance a checkbook. Instead of learning things we will never use in life again we should learn things to help us get by. Im not saying the curriculum in school in unnecessary but schools should just focus on what's important.

This article is so powerful and i completely agree with it. I feel like girls should have the right to dress how they want. We should not shame girls for their breasts, butts, or long legs. Im not saying its ok for girls to dress completely trashy, but what's the problem with showing some shoulder? Administration says its a distraction to boys learning. Well maybe if we taught boys not to treat girls like a piece of meat and like an actual person that could help them. Girls shouldn't have to take the consequences for boys actions.

Over the weekend my brother, his wife, and their daughter Blair came into town. So i spent the whole weekend with my family! It was nice staying in with them all weekend and just having a quiet night at home.  We actually got to celebrate Blair and my brother Andrews birthday, it was a late celebration since both of their birthdays were on September 25. But it was still nice, my mom just made dinner and we had cake. Each time i see Blair i try to teach her something new. Last time was the duck face and this time around it was her saying "Hi girlfriend". Starting them young. But anyways i had an amazing weekend with my family and i'm going to really miss them when they leave.

An Infographic is a certain way to organize information in a clear and colorful way. It leaves a powerful effect behind with all of the colors and the way it's organized in a way to get a persons attention. To make a really good one it need to be colorful and creative, but not cluttered. It needs to be organized and informative, with full of statistics backing up the topic of your infographic. They can be really fun and interesting if they are done right.

My weekend was a lot of fun! I went to the game on Friday with friends, and had a good time. Afterwards i hung out with a few friends, then went home because i had work at 8:30 AM the next morning. So the next morning to went to work till 12, then went to my friends house to all get ready for homecoming! Then it was pictures with my date and friends, then we all went to fortune wok to get dinner. We actually only went to the dance for about 20 minutes then over to the after party. The after party was so much fun, i had an amazing night with my friends. Homecoming this year was one to remember.

One thing i would change and try to make better in this school is the funding for the arts. Of course i believe this because i'm apart of the performing arts program here at Blue Valley. I feel like we don't get as much money as football or basketball team does, for example football just got that new huge stadium. Im not saying i dont appreciate football because i do, i love going to the games and cheering them on. But the musical for example doesn't get that much money, most of the money we use comes from the choir booster club that our parents donate. So if the school could just help us out a little our program could expand and improve tremendously.

My favorite app on my phone is spotify because i love listening to music. I like how there is so much music to choose from, i can pick a song just for my mood. I also love netflix, i have an addiction. If Orange is the New Black wasn't around i would be doing a lot more with my life. Same with Gossip Girl and American Horror Story. Also i love twitter, i love seeing all the stuff going on and being able to communicate with people. Apps are just great.

I still use emails only for school uses, i can't remember the last time i sent an email just checking up with the person. I feel like email has become outdated because of how easy to get access to a cell phone now. I feel like email will only stay around for business and school purposes.

I actually really enjoy this class, i find it fun and interesting! In my other classes when we do projects involving computers and writing i feel really on top of it! All these new websites you have shown us are very helpful for other projects and just school work in general. My friends in my classes have asked me to help them set up a Google drive or an Evernote and stuff like that because i've gotten pretty good at it! Im excited to see what else this class teaches me.

I enjoy writing because its a way for me to express myself, and tell any story i would like. I like the power writing gives me, i get to decide how things play out. As you can tell i enjoy creative writing! I just love coming up with stories and characters and problems. Informative writing isn't my favorite but i still like it more than i like doing grammar or algebra. I actually some what enjoy learning about a new subject and getting to write all about it. Well something i have to work for everyday is dance, to improve and become a stronger dancer. I have to work really hard at it because i want to be the best i can be. Failing for me is not getting the part i want or having a bad day at dance. But i don't let those keep me down, i just work harder at it. I feel like if i didn't have some failures in my life i wouldn't know how to be so passionate about something that i wont stop until i achieve it.

Research is important because it gives us more information about the topic we are discussing or presenting. You need to how to research correctly so you have lots of information to back up your topic, without the right amount of research you give your best presentation. I've learned that if you really want to find quality information you have to really look for, Wikipedia cant be trusted. My 8th grade ELA teachers really thought me how to research because we did it 24/7 which sucked but paid off in the end.

What happened to kids these days? The main way the communicate is through some device, nobody enjoys the outdoors anymore. They spend all their time tweeting and posting, something called a women crush Wednesday seems to be a very big act of kindness. Also boys don't ask girls on  real dates anymore all they want to do is just sit around and watch Netflix. Times now are a huge disappointment, what happened to chivalry? I'm so glad i wasn't a teen during this time.

This weekend was a fun one just minus the sprained ankle part of it, on Friday afternoon during 6th hour chambers i was dancing to the dance "Ease on down the road" and the first move we did on stage which was the wizard of oz step i went down. It was very painful but i was going to a concert that night so i didn't care. I was going to Buzz Beach Ball with some of my friends so i just wrapped it up and called it good, which was a mistake. But whatever Buzz Beach Ball was amazing seeing all those amazing bands perform live was the coolest thing ever! And Saturday and Sunday wasnt as fun i just worked and did homework.

I feel like you did this to push us and make us go against the normal boring way we usually do it. I personally had a love/hate relationship with this project, i loved being creative and coming up with special ways to show my information. The reason why i hated it was because it took way longer then my other usual projects. I think this happened mainly because i'm super OCD with this type of project. But overall i had fun using it a different way.

My labor day weekend was alright, my family didn't head out to the lake because we are beach people and lakes gross me out. So i spent my entire weekend with my two best friends; Genevieve and Alli. We really just hung at my house and went to the mall twice to find clothes for this concert Alli and i are going to on this Friday! The reason why we went twice was because we are both so indecisive that it took us two trips to the mall on Sunday and Monday to figure out what we wanted to buy, this is one big issue of being a girl. It was a calm weekend but really fun, we became closer and have a lot of new inside jokes now. It wasn't an eventual Labor Day weekend but it was still memorable.

In the newspaper clipping it talks about how kids should learn how to work and stop dreaming. I don't disagree with this completely, i believe that it is good for youth to learn how to work for things but they need those dreams to inspire them and give them motivation. I know everybody has either dreamed about being a rock star or a cowboy when they were little, maybe those were not practical dreams but they still are dreams and something to get the kid inspired. As the child grows older their dreams become a little more practical and slightly easier to achieve, and those dreams are the ones that make you work hard. I know from my own experience that once you get your mind set on something amazing you are going to work so hard until you get it and when you finally do it feels incredible. Giving a kid a book and pencil isn't going to do the same as letting them use their imagination and passion for what they want to achieve in life.

What i took from this is what you really want in life isn't going to come easy, you have to work really hard. Like he said those little jobs helped him become what he is today, you need those little jobs to help build you and give a work effort. Look at every opportunity as it your last one, no matter the size or pay work your hardest at it because you dont know who you could leave an impression on for later in life. Also i agree with the whole "knowledge is sexy" statement, without knowledge you wont get very far in life. Im not just talking about school im talking about knowledge of everything, for example knowing whats right from wrong and always doing the right thing. Sure you may mess up but hey you live and you learn and you grow from your mistakes in life. Nobody gets it right from day one.
